Just in time to help alleviate the stress of the hectic holiday season, The Spa at Ballantyne, a Forbes Four-Star recognized spa, has introduced a new menu that promotes overall health and sustainability. It includes Custom Massage Therapy and Stress Relief Therapy complemented by mainstays such as The Spa’s signature Carolina Lavender services featuring locally-sourced lavender.

“Our carefully curated menu supports our holistic approach to wellness,” says Jana Powers, the spa's director.

Highlights of the new menu are Custom Massage Therapy, a completely customizable experience that's ideal for those searching for a combination of pressures and techniques. It offers different tensions in different areas catered to the individual. Pricing is $140 (50 minutes) and $180 (80 minutes). And Stress Relief Therapy, a nurturing body wrap that combines the power of biodynamic flower essences, probiotics and rich butters blended to detoxify and calm the nervous system. After a light touch massage the treatment concludes with a mineral-rich foot scrub and relaxing scalp massage. Pricing is $140 (50 minutes) and $180 (80 minutes). Appoinments: 704-248-4141.

Although some purchase minimums apply, an added perk is that guests have access to the spa's resort-style amenities. Its luxurious facilities include a seasonal outdoor pool, indoor pools, Jacuzzi, fitness center and spa lounge area. And since gift-giving season is upon us, gift cards are available at www.theballantynehotel.com.
