Artist and social activist Edwin Gil will unveil his "Mental Health Faces in Diversity" mural at the MHA's inaugural Art In Mind event Oct. 5 at the Mint Museum Randolph. 

MHA’s Inaugural Art In Mind (AIM): An art exhibition and sale with proceeds promoting mental wellness locally. It features MHA's own PhotoVoice photographers as well as works by other noteworthy artists. During registration, guests will be asked to consider donating anywhere from $1 to $200. Along with the art sale, there's music, appetizers and a cash bar.  A brief program at 7 p.m. will highlight MHA's work through PhotoVoice and feature the unveiling of the "Mental Health Faces in Diversity" mural by artist and social activist Edwin Gil. 6-8 p.m. Oct. 5. Men, and their families, will walk the runway in support of solving the issue of domestic violence at the Man-Up Against Domestic Violence Fashion Show Oct. 14 at the Park Expo and Conference Center.

Man-Up! Against Domestic Violence Fashion Show: The Park Church and Myers Park United Methodist Church, with a supporting Grant from the Jamie Kimble Foundation For Courage, have partnered together to present an event that focuses on the importance of male leadership in solving the issue of domestic violence. The fashion show is designed to be a fun, family oriented event. It includes a vendor market, local celebrities and a VIP reception. 7 p.m. Oct. 14. The Park Expo and Conference Center. $25.
