Yiasou Greek Festival: Celebrate Greek culture and its food, art and entertainment at this annual event. 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sept. 6; 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sept. 7-8; noon.-8 p.m. Sept. 9. Admission is $3; free for 12 and younger. Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. www.yiasoufestival.org.

Festival In The Park: It's the 54th year for this Charlotte tradition that features artists, concessions and entertainment around the lake at Freedom Park. Free. Hours are 4-9:30 p.m. Sept. 21; 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Sept. 22; and 11-6 p.m. Sept. 23. www.festivalinthepark.
