COVETED COUTURE GALA & AFTER PARTY: Presented by Wells Fargo Private Bank on April 27, this signature spring fundraiser for the Mint Museum has become one of the must-attend galas of the year. More than 400 of Charlotte’s top civic leaders, museum patrons and chic supporters will attend the black-tie dinner and dance that celebrates the closing of the African Print Now! exhibition. Ashley and Scott Mattei are Gala Chairs. Former editor at large of Vogue Andre Leon Talley is the gala’s Honorary Chair. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m.; tickets start at $650. Even if you can’t attend the gala, tickets are available for the After Party from 9:30 p.m. to midnight with an open bar, late-night bites and sweet treats from La-Tea-Da’s Catering and dancing to the band Groove Nation and DJ DOMii.
