Highlights include a Literary Panel hosted by Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation Executive Director Jenni Gaisbauer with authors Kimmery Martin, Kathy Izard, Helen Kimbrough and Kathie Collins (noon-1 p.m. Aug. 24); the hot Firefighter Fashion Show at 5 p.m. Aug. 24 emceed by WBTV's Molly Grantham; an appearance by Savannah Chrisly from the reality TV show Chrisly Knows Best at 1 p.m. Aug. 25 (a special VIP meet-and-greet with Savannah is available at 11:45 and costs $35); a chance to meet bestselling author and actor Keegan Allen from Pretty Little Liars at noon Aug. 26 (tickets for special book signing and autograph packages are available online); and a  Mother Daughter Look-A-Like Contest hosted by radio personality Ramona Holloway and her mother Weezie (2 p.m. Aug. 26); Show hours are  10 a.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 24 and Aug. 25; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 26. Great Gatsby Gala: Guests will be transported back to the Roaring 20s at this 30th anniversary of this gala to benefit the National MS Society's Greater Carolina's Chapter's mission of creating a world free of MS. There's a live orchestra, swing dancing, heavy hors d' oeuvres and desserts from some of Charlotte's most celebrated restaurants, wine, beer, a silent auction and more. 7-11 p.m. Aug. 25. 24 Hours of Booty: The 17th annual 24-hour event on the 3-mile Booty Loop runs through the Myers Park Neighborhood.  The community event hosts over 1,200 riders and 200 walkers raising funds for the Levine Cancer Institute, Levine Children’s Hospital, the LIVESTRONGFoundation and Queen’s University. It starts at 7 p.m. July 27 and ends at 7 p.m. July 28. www.24foundation.org.
