Community Table magazine, a division of Parade magazine, recently ran this fun list of four vintage glam classics with thoughts on why these products are still popular today.

Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo and Conditioner. A mainstay since 1972. Try the updated Smooth and Shine Collection formulas with herbs and vitamin extracts.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cherries in the Snow. Since 1953, this vibrant pink-red hue has been brightening complexions and making teeth appear whiter.

Cutex Nail Polish Remover. How many brands that you pass by in the beauty aisle can claim to have been around since 1928? This one.

CoverGirl Clean Liquid Makeup. Launched in 1961, it's still a bestseller. Except now it comes in an array of shades and formulas.

A SWEET TIP

Dry weather. Too much heat while styling your hair. Overloading on products to keep your hair style under control. Any and all of those factors can wreak havoc on your scalp.

To combat the problem, try this trick: Add around a teaspoon of sugar to your shampoo and as you wash your scalp the sugar acts as a natural exfoliant that whisks away flakes.

The O Report tested this solution and it worked well without stripping away our hair color.
