Interior designer Nate Berkus has a relaxed American style.

Interior designer, author and TV personality Nate Berkus has a sense of chic that's very American and relaxed.

In an article by Chicago Tribune reporter Cindy Dampier, Berkus describes his style as being a mix of natural objects, beloved pieces and quality materials.

He also talks about how he loves to entertain and that it was his mother who taught him how to set a memorable table.

Among the tips he shares is that his go-to napkin is a standard white napkin from Williams-Sonoma. He also has napkins custom-made by taking a favorite fabric to his dry cleaners and asking for it to be hemmed into 18-inch squares.
